In memory of John Little
About the Noosa Prostate Association (NPA)
The NPA was formed as a result of the vision, commitment and determination of our first Chair and Patron John Little. Unfortunately, John lost his fight against the disease and passed away on the 29 June,2019.
The NPA is an unincorporated association, formed in 2017 as a local community-based association to promote awareness of and testing for prostate cancer, and to raise funds for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia.
The NPA (ABN: 70 260 549 048, TFN 570 079 284) is registered as a charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission, and is endorsed by the Australian Taxation Office to access tax concessions including as a Deductible Gift Recipient.
The NPA has conducted Prostate Cancer Awareness Lunches in 2018, 2019, 2022, 2023, and 2024. It has raised over $1,000,000 for prostate cancer. It has been well supported by generous Sponsors (including Icon Cancer Centre and Ramsay Health Care), and by generous donors and supporters. It has been instrumental in getting a prostate cancer specialist nurse appointed to Noosa.
